Deckgrimoire is simply a wrapper written by a clever programmer around public and free data online. Almost none of the data on this site is ours. Card names, printings, art, deck contents: it comes from projects other people run. This page says who they are and what we take from them.
Scryfall
Scryfall is where every card in the builder comes from. Names, sets, collector numbers, mana costs, type lines, and the card scans you print are all theirs.
We mirror their bulk data files rather than crawling their API card by card, which is what their terms ask of anyone resolving cards in volume. Card images are cached on our server and served back exactly as Scryfall sent them, at the size they published. We do not crop, recolour, watermark or re-encode them, so the artist and copyright lines printed on a scan stay where they belong.
If you want to look a card up properly, with rulings and prices and legality, go to Scryfall and use theirs. It is better than anything we would build.
MTGJSON
MTGJSON is where the official deck products come from. When you browse a preconstructed Commander deck or a starter kit here and see the exact card list, quantities, basic lands, and which printing shipped in the box, that is MTGJSON's work.
Reconstructing a product list by hand is miserable and error-prone. They have been doing it, set after set, for years.
Wizards of the Coast
Magic: The Gathering, including card images, card text, and mana symbols, is copyright Wizards of the Coast, LLC.
Deck Grimoire is unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Wizards Fan Content Policy. It is not produced by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Wizards of the Coast, Scryfall, or MTGJSON. Nothing here speaks for any of them.
Proxies
The sheets this site generates are for personal use: playtesting, protecting an expensive card, filling a slot in a deck you are still building. They are not tournament legal and they are not for sale. Selling proxies, passing them off as real cards, or printing them for anything other than your own games is outside both the Fan Content Policy and the point of this site.
