The 75% Problem

Pure cEDH Yuriko wins on turn 3 or concedes. It's technically impressive and completely miserable to play against outside a dedicated cEDH pod. Pure casual Yuriko is a ninja tribal deck that does nothing until it explodes on turn 8 and gets wiped.

The 75% build finds the line where Yuriko is consistently threatening and never easy to ignore, but slow enough that games reach meaningful politics and interaction. After 80 games with this build, that line is findable.

The Core Engine

The ninjutsu package needs exactly 6-8 enablers. Too few and Yuriko sits in the command zone. Too many and your hand is full of 1/1s that contribute nothing the turn they enter.

The non-negotiables are Changeling Outcast, Tormented Soul, and Mist-Cloaked Herald. These three get Yuriko into combat reliably. Everything else in the enabler slot is flex.

The average CMC of your deck determines how much damage Yuriko deals per trigger. Most 75% lists run 3.5 to 4.0. Tournament lists run 6.0+. This build targets 4.5: high enough to be threatening, low enough to actually cast the spells.

The High-CMC Package

This is where the 75% build separates from the fully tuned version. Instead of running Emrakul, Blinkmoth Infusion, and Time Stretch purely for damage numbers, the high-CMC slots do real work.

Draco is the classic include: 16 CMC, does nothing else, wins games when revealed. Run exactly one.

Temporal Manipulation hits for 5 and takes an extra turn. The non-basic land clause almost never matters in this build.

Cyclonic Rift at 7 CMC does double duty: a 7-point Yuriko trigger and the best blue sweeper in the format. That's genuine efficiency, not just a damage number.

Political Tools

The 75% build runs eight cards that generate political value: Coastal Piracy, Bident of Thassa, Opposition Agent, Dauthi Voidwalker, Hullbreacher, Notion Thief, Reconnaissance Mission, and Kindred Discovery.

These create negotiation. If you're serious about cEDH, you don't need them. But in a pod that ranges from focused to casual, they buy time and goodwill, and that's exactly the table this build is designed for.
