Eldrazi Unbound is a colorless Commander deck that does one thing: get enough mana to cast world-ending Eldrazi, then get two free spells when you do. The deck accelerates through artifacts and utility lands, hits the threshold where Zhulodok's double-cascade triggers activate, and ends the game in one or two large turns. It's straightforward and devastating when it connects.

Zhulodok, Void Gorger is the face card. Any colorless spell you cast with mana value seven or more cascades twice, so you dig for two additional spells each time you resolve a massive Eldrazi. Cast Kozilek and you might chain into Ulamog and All Is Dust. The deck is built entirely around hitting that seven-mana threshold reliably, and Zhulodok turns each big spell into a three-for-one.

Omarthis, Ghostfire Initiate is the counter-growth alternative. He gets +1/+1 counters whenever another colorless creature enters under your control, and when he dies he distributes those counters among other colorless creatures. Against faster pods where Zhulodok gets countered or killed repeatedly, Omarthis builds a wide board that punishes removal.

Key Cards

Kozilek, the Great Distortion
Art by Aleksi Briclot

Kozilek, the Great Distortion

The marquee threat. Kozilek refills your hand to seven cards when he enters, which is critical in a colorless deck that runs out of gas. He also lets you discard a card to counter a spell of equal mana value, which is oppressive late game when opponents are trying to answer your board. With Zhulodok active, casting Kozilek cascades into two more spells. He closes games fast and makes each turn feel like you're playing three cards.

It That Betrays
Art by Izzy

It That Betrays

Twelve mana gets you a 11/11 that takes permanent control of any permanent an opponent sacrifices. This sounds narrow but becomes brutal in Commander, where sacrifice effects (Fetchlands, Clue tokens, Food tokens, forced sacrifice from opponents' own cards) happen every turn. Pair it with All Is Dust and every permanent opponents sacrifice hits your side of the table. It That Betrays snowballs aggressively once it resolves.

All Is Dust
Art by Jason Felix

All Is Dust

A one-sided board wipe in a colorless deck. All Is Dust makes each player sacrifice all colored permanents. You sacrifice nothing. Opponents lose all their creatures, enchantments, and planeswalkers while your Wastes, artifacts, and Eldrazi survive untouched. At seven mana it sits at Zhulodok's cascade threshold. Cascade into it off a larger spell and you get the wipe for free while still resolving the Eldrazi on top.

Thran Dynamo
Art by Volkan Baga

Thran Dynamo

The mana acceleration that makes this deck tick. Thran Dynamo taps for three colorless mana. The deck runs multiple pieces like this (Hedron Archive, Worn Powerstone, Everflowing Chalice) because reaching seven, ten, or twelve mana by turn five or six is the entire plan. Each artifact accelerant brings Zhulodok's cascade chain one turn closer to activating.

Ugin, the Ineffable
Art by Raymond Swanland

Ugin, the Ineffable

Colorless spells cost two less with Ugin on the board, which is essentially mana ramp for the entire deck. His +1 creates a 2/2 token that draws a card when the associated card would leave exile, so you get board presence and card advantage at once. His -X exiles any permanent with mana value equal to or less than X. Ugin sits at exactly six mana, below Zhulodok's cascade floor, and makes every subsequent Eldrazi cheaper and more achievable.

How to Play

Spend the first three turns deploying mana rocks. Sol Ring, Thran Dynamo, Hedron Archive, and Eldrazi Temple all accelerate you toward the critical mass of mana this deck needs. Aim to hit seven mana by turn four or five, get Zhulodok in play, and start casting Eldrazi with double-cascade active. Each large spell chains into two more, building your board faster than opponents can answer.

The deck wins by overwhelming the table with consecutive massive creatures. All Is Dust resets any board that gets ahead of you, and it costs nothing for a colorless deck. It That Betrays converts opponents' sacrifice effects into your permanents. Close the game with combat damage from Eldrazi that are functionally unanswerable on size alone.
