Graveyard Overdrive (M3C).
A Jund graveyard-goyf deck led by Disa the Restless, fill your graveyard with every card type, grow lhurgoyf creatures into enormous threats, and close games with graveyard-scaled monsters.
The Commanders
Graveyard Overdrive is a Jund deck from Modern Horizons 3 built around lhurgoyfs, the family of cards whose power scales with what's in graveyards. Disa the Restless fills the graveyard fast and makes tokens off lhurgoyf attacks, so your creatures get bigger every turn just because you keep dumping cards in the bin. Since every player's graveyard counts, the goyfs hit double-digit power by mid-game.
Disa the Restless makes token copies of lhurgoyfs when they attack, so you swing for double the stats. When those tokens die, they fill the graveyard and feed the engine. The deck scales two ways at once: up in power as each goyf grows, and out in width as the token army piles up next to the originals.
Key Cards
Lhurgoyf
The original. Lhurgoyf's power equals the total number of creature cards in all graveyards. With three opponents feeding their bins through combat and removal, Lhurgoyf regularly reaches 10/11 by turn six or seven. It's the deck's baseline threat, a creature that grows just by sitting there while opponents play normally. When it attacks, Disa's token copy doubles the pressure.
Barrowgoyf
A new lhurgoyf variant from Modern Horizons 3. Barrowgoyf's power equals the number of card types in your graveyard. The deck plays all the major types (creatures, instants, sorceries, artifacts, enchantments, lands) to push that count up. Six or seven types in the yard by mid-game makes Barrowgoyf a 6/7 or 7/8 for three mana. Keep the graveyard varied and it's one of the most efficient creatures per mana in the deck.
Syr Konrad, the Grim
Damage on every graveyard interaction. Syr Konrad deals 1 damage to each opponent whenever a creature card leaves a graveyard, dies, or enters a graveyard. In a deck that mills hard and stuffs graveyards with creatures, he pings all game. A Faithless Looting that pitches two creatures, a Stitcher's Supplier that mills three, any combat death, all of it triggers him. Over a full game that passive damage often reaches 20 to 30 per opponent.
Selvala, Heart of the Wilds
Mana that scales with the biggest creature on the battlefield. Tap Selvala to add mana equal to the greatest power among creatures in play. With a 10/11 Lhurgoyf or 8/9 Barrowgoyf out, one tap makes ten mana. She also draws you a card when the biggest creature belongs to you. In a deck where your creatures tower over everyone else's, that's absurd mana and a steady stream of cards.
Eternal Witness
Recursion and card advantage on a three-mana body. Eternal Witness enters and returns any card from your graveyard to your hand. In a deck that discards, mills, and cycles constantly, the graveyard fills up with things worth getting back. Witness grabs whatever you need at the moment, a board wipe answer, a piece of graveyard filler, a second copy of something key. And when she finally dies, she adds to Lhurgoyf's creature count too.
Junji, the Midnight Sky
A five-mana Dragon with a strong death trigger. When Junji dies, choose one: each opponent discards two cards and loses 2 life, or you put a non-Dragon creature from any graveyard onto the battlefield. The recursion mode is the good one, since it pulls back the best threat in any graveyard the moment Junji dies. At 5/5 flying he's hard to attack through, and you get value whether he lives or dies.
How to Play
Spend turns one and two filling the graveyard: Stitcher's Supplier on turn one, Faithless Looting on turn two, Grisly Salvage on turn three. Get Disa down as early as you can. By turn four your first lhurgoyf should already be huge off the graveyard you've built. Attack with it right away and Disa's token copy doubles your board.
The deck snowballs from there. Every turn the goyfs grow as more cards hit graveyards through combat, removal, and your own mill. Selvala turns your oversized creatures into a mountain of mana. Syr Konrad chips away at opponents on every graveyard interaction. Win by swinging with 10-to-15-power creatures each turn, or lean on Syr Konrad's accumulated damage in games where attacking is hard. Keep the graveyard varied to keep Barrowgoyf and Polygoyf big.
